Tim takes us through our new release 2012 Riesling and sums it up with three words – “brisk, bright and breezy”.
Bryan Martin, our production winemaker, tastes a few of our small batch releases. He looks at the 2011 barrel fermented Blanc, the 2011 Chardonnay, the 2011 Pinot Noir and the luscious 2011 late harvest Riesling.
On a cool autumn morning our picking team remove ripe shiraz destined to be bottled as 2012 Shiraz Viognier. Follow the course of the fruit from vine to vat.
Tim engages in one of his favourite vineyard activities – tasting ripening shiraz in the warm autumn sun. “Beautiful spice exploding in these grapes”. Just what we’re looking for at this stage. Picking is not far off now.
Tim looks at the current condition of the vineyard and reckons “everything is perfectly tuned – we just need a couple of months of warm weather and we could have a seriously good vintage on our hands.”
